I've heard it said that the one true cure for writers block is to write. It sounds counter intuitive but the act of getting even nonsense out of the way sometimes helps open the flood gates and then it comes pouring out.
I'm not so sure about that.
I know when I'm programming and something just isn't coming I have a couple techniques to help it move. Usually I either switch to something else or I work on edge stuff and work my way in to the central problem. Sometimes a sample project helps.
Unfortunately it's not helping much tonight I was hoping that writing about writers block would help but I don't think it has. I mean I could keep typing stream of consciousness style but I find that a little annoying and I think I'm going to turn in now.
